Arab Stabilization Force Where Art Thou?

Letter to Ephesians: While we continue to pray for peace in Palestine, it’s becoming clear, regardless of any paper they signed with Israel, that the “terrorist group” Hamas isn’t going to willingly cede its control over the people. But, why wasn’t this better planned on?
In the euphoria immediately following the peace deal forged by President Trump’s diplomacy and Israeli military might, was there any doubt that Hamas would actively terrorize its own people they suspected of “collaborating with the enemy” and continue to attack the Israelis guerilla style? As usual, Hamas leaders swear they have had nothing to do with any such renewed resistance as reported, even if true. Maybe so, in a sense. Yet exactly what concrete steps have those leaders taken to control if not punish the peace-breakers?
As the WSJ editorial board recently urged, there needs to be “No More Cease-Fire Excuses for Hamas.” Meanwhile, they note, “The Arab ‘stabilization force’ needs to move fast to disarm the terrorists.” No kidding. How many public executions does it take to make it clear this should have been done from the get-go?
