Fauci Takes the 5th, But Should We All?
Letter to Ephesians: Besides Dr. Fauci refusing to testimony before Congress Tuesday by taking the 5th, what struck me about Sen. Paul’s committee was the selective memory of its Democrats & Republics on some key pandemic realities many of us can never forget…
One “Long Covid” headscratcher was the obvious fact known to everyone EARLY on that only a limited number of “high risk” populations were in real danger of Covid. That being the case, why did the political & medical leaders so pathetically panic, then, stampede everyone into a lockdown of the entire society? “They were out to bring down Trump,” doesn’t cut it alone. Frankly, all but a few went along like lambs being led to the slaughter. And those brave enough to object were usually & brutally cancelled out. Yet except for Florida Senator Moody, even the many questions Republican committee members threw at Fauci only skirted that very important point. Another thing I still haven’t wrapped my head around is the early mania for “ventilators” & the handwringing over their sparsity, then, demands for emergency production of more. Does anyone else recall the early warnings that at least “50% of those put on a ventilator die”? So, why wouldn’t folks have taken the hint? Again, I don’t believe the word “ventilator” was even mentioned during the Fauci grilling.
The saddest point I’m struggling to articulate is that ALL of us may be indictable for criminal foolishness. Dr. Fauci may yet be found guilty in court for enriching himself while knowingly giving bogus medical advice to the President, Congress & the public; then, lying about it as his recently released “diary” suggests is possible. Yet so many of us took his & others’ questionable “scientific” advice hook, line & sinker. Many encouraged if not demanded more. In that sense, we enabled Fauci to keep dissembling while a “million” people died. If true, in criminal law, such voluntary yet reckless enabling could also make us all participants in a kind of “Manslaughter.”
