GOP Must Deliver While Mamdani Can’t

Charlie Kirk’s almost always right, e.g., when he says 2024 saw a huge generational shift BACK to conservative values. Yet does he over-estimate the lies of “Mamdani- ism" when he adds its Marxist agenda will “spread” nationwide if the homeownership crisis isn’t solved asap?
As the Fox News coverage explained, “Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist assemblyman from Queens, soared to victory in NYC’s Democratic primary mayoral race on a hard-left platform that included freezing rent, city-owned grocery stores, free buses, free childcare, raising corporate taxes & massively increasing the minimum wage.” And, as Kirk elaborated, this “Mamdani-ism ... which is bitterness, discontent, the mobilization of grievances ... is free stuff populism weaponized against the American public.” Kirk worries that unless the GOP can show in 2028 that the new generation of youthful voters that “their lives are tangibly better,” they’ll swing back to these nutty ideas, tho long ago proven so in Communist Russia & its Soviet Bloc.
Dunno our youth is THAT gullible and malleable, at least, so fast. Not that speed in solving our cost-of-living dilemma isn’t crucial for the entire body politic. And, not that Mamdani-ism can’t spread through the nation’s Sanctuary Cities that are now called home by millions of immigrants entering the USA illegally under Biden’s non leadership. Moreover, true, there will be numerous legal residents struggling to make ends meet in the Blue Cities that’ll be seduced by ever-expanding promises of wealth beyond their wildest dreams. But, history, as Lincoln reminded after an unimaginably bloody Civil War, teaches us you can “fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” I still give our 20- and 30-Somethings more credit than not.
