Hi ho! Hi ho! 2026 Dems Dwarf Past Tax Grabs

Letter to Romans: Democrats insist folks are angry at the “affordability” monster, yet they’re on a taxing binge the likes of which dwarfs their past tax & grab history. “Everywhere you look across the country, they’re aiming to grab more taxpayer cash.”

So marvels the WSJ’s editorial board: “The polls say Democrats are likely to do well in the November elections, so it’s worth noting what they say they’ll do with more power. Believe it or not, they are showing … that they want to raise taxes” in a BIG way. Never mind that their big city progressive tax system increased their tax & spend systems 43% between 2019 & 2025, which is twice the rate of inflation during the same period. The reality is, “Democrats and their public union allies want more – much more.”

What’s dat yo say? California is looking to impose a 5% wealth tax on even “illusory” increases in the value of assets the rich hold. Washington Dems already passed a 9.9% income tax on millionaires, despite a state constitutional ban on a graduated income tax. In New York, the Albany Democrats are proposing income, corporate & real estate tax hikes to “fund more welfare & public works benefits while NYC’s Marxist mayor is demanding even more, e.g., by increasing the estate tax to 50% from 16%. Of course, the tax grabs are invariably veiled “gouge the rich” motto and ignore the reality that all such blue states are hemorrhaging wealthy citizens and their tax bases who are leaving in droves. And still, the more the Dems blithely work at taxing their citizens the more votes they seem to get as if governing in the land of “Cinderella & the 7 Dwarfs …
