Iran Runs from Bombs to Morality Police

Letter to Ephesians: As soon as it got its cajónes cut off by Israeli & US bombs, the terrorist Iranian regime did what it does best, i.e, started cutting off the cajónes of its own people. After the strikes, Iran again became rife with arrests, executions & “paranoia.”

That was the gist of the WSJ coverage that bluntly assessed the immediate fall-out from Iran’s suddenly paused 12-Day War with Israel: “The theocratic leaders and the security forces emerged from hiding to set up checkpoints, hunt for moles and tell residents to watch their neighbors for spies.” Of course, it figures, the targets were not just “alleged” spies but “dissidents and opposition figures.” According to the WSJ, “As the smell of high explosives hung in the air of [Tehran], police and intelligence officers arrested hundreds of people and are detaining more each day. Armed paramilitary police are patrolling the streets. People are being stopped and having their cars, phones and computers searched.” Then this: “The government [also] announced the hasty execution of at least six men.”

As if on cue, funerals for the many generals and nuclear scientists “eliminated” by Israel were very publicly staged with thousands of flag waving Islamic Republic faithful chanting “Death to Israel.” We’re also told that “The Shia Islamist regime has stepped up efforts to enforce strict rules governing what it considered to be appropriate behavior & dress. “The morality police are back,” said a 44-yr-old woman who said she had fled Tehran during the war. “The police have stopped us & questioned us, because the socks of the woman with me were too see- through.” Hmm. Wonder what Whoopi, Behar & Hostin now think after they suggested earlier on The View Iran’s the land that might beckon to at least some of America’s most “oppressed” blacks ...
