Is It ObamaCare or ObamaScam?

Letter to Ephesians: Nearly 12M Obamacare enrollees don’t use their subsidized insurance benefits but even worse than this waste of taxpayers’ billions is that many are using fake income sob stories or are well-covered by employer or Medicaid plans. The insurers love the game.

As the WSJ’s editorial board opined: “ObamaCare is a gift that keeps on giving – to insurers. The law forces Americans to buy pricey plans with benefits they don’t need,” at least according to a Paragon Institute report. As Paragon explained, “tens of billions of dollars in subsidies ... went to insurers & middlemen without funding a single medical service ...” Part of the problem seems to be some “insurance brokers have been fudging incomes of people in order to enroll them [inObamaCare] ... The Biden Administration facilitated such fraud by easing income verificaton & eligibility checks” so that as many as 6.4 million people with ObamaCare shouldn’t. Had enough yet? The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services “last month found that 1.6 million Americans each month last year were enrolled in both Medicais and subsidized ObamaCare plans.”

To play the devil’s advocate, ObamaCare was originally intended as a last ditch effort to get basic health insurance coverage to the POOR. And, if those souls don’t need to see a doctor in a given year, ain’t that all the better for them & society? Yet, as the WSJ concluded, “Forgive us for being old-fashioned, but why should taxpayers subsidize insurance for healthy people who don’t need or use it?
