Jesus, For Once, Let Obama Have Light

Letter to Romans: Jesus was the greatest lawyer ever while Obama is not so much. Jesus, e.g., said He was the light of the world & proved it with His Father’s testimony. Obama (again) embarrassed himself by weaseling on 3^rd Trump assassination attempt & Supremes’ VRA ruling.

In fact, No. 44’s legal misfiring “hits” keep growing like manna in the Biblical desert. His poorly veiled attempt to undermine the significance of this week’s latest vile attempt on No. 45-47’s life has been reviled for what it was. Also called out by conservative pundits was Obama’s hypocritical trashing of the US Supreme Court’s striking down on Wednesday the past use of the Voting Rights Act to redraw Congressional districts based on race, even tho history shows the VRA was intended simply to prevent poll taxes & other pretense obstacles to voting. Full stop. The former Chicago mouthpiece apparently had a memory lapse of his wailings against the devil itself aka “gerrymandering,” presumably “only” by Republicans.

As it happens, I was reading John 8:12, where Jesus claims He was the “light of the world.” The legal beagle Pharisees challenged His claim since the Jewish Law supposedly required two witnesses to “validate” it & prohibits “appearing as your own witness.” Sounds like a legalistic Obama ploy, no? As Jesus, the Learned Hand of Learned Hands replied: “Even if I testify on My own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from & where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. You judge by human standards…But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father who sent me. In your own Law, it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father who sent Me.” Ka-ching. If I were filing an amicus brief here, I’d urge Jesus to include a further reference to His Father saying in Genesis, “Let there be Light,” aka the Christ.
