Newsom Dares Trump to Arrest the Joker?

Letter to Ephesians: Cali’s Gov Moonbeam II sues Trump Administration for calling in the National Guard to quell LA rioting & attacks on ICE (which he enabled), then, POTUS calls in the US Marines to boot & threatens to arrest the gov after being dared. Talk about begging to get yo butt whipped.

Naturally, Newsom & his cadre of lib lawyers say Trump’s moves are those of a “dictator.” Give ‘em credit for not saying “Nazi,” but they surely don’t believe No. 47 is just trying to protect LA and help ICE do its job enforcing the nation’s immigration laws. But I’ll hang my hat on GWU’s Law Professor Jonathan Turley's op ed who suggested the Cali governor’s suing the president for doing his job (where he wouldn’t or couldn’t) is a fool’s errand. A president, the professor argued, really does not have to have a governor’s “permission” to enforce the law let alone protect lives & property, at least, not when that sanctuary state governor has sworn NOT to cooperate with ICE. And, oh, btw, daring ICE to “come and arrest me,” may have been a “dumb & dumber” move when the president said he just might be ok with that, that is, if Newsom is found to be aiding & abetting the rioters or otherwise breaking federal law.

The WSJ editorial board had called out these escalating shots earlier in the day. The op ed chided both sides for upping the stakes over the weekend as if in a poker game. Yet, the editors also noted how Newsom seemed each time to be giving Trump the excuse(s) to do exactly what he’s doing; all the while, Newsom kept tossing into the pot more taxpayer money, while Trump held 3 Kings & 4 queens. All that’s left may be for the Joker to crown Newsom.
