NY Times, Biased MSM’s Clueless Captain Kirk

Letter to Ephesians: Is it true that the hopelessly biased NY Times still can’t help itself from lying about the Kirk assassination man hunt as it has lied since 2016 with its anti-Trump campaign? Now they suck the big one by mocking FBI “manhunt” before BINGO ...

The above arguably summarizes Holman Jenkins’ WSJ “Why the FBI Is a Charlie Kirk Sideshow,” in which the columnist waxes “How different our world might be if Trump opponents [especially the New York Times] hadn’t bet on Biden lies and lawfare.” What got Holman riled was the Time’s headline, “Scrutiny Mounts of FBI Under Patel as Kirk’s Killer Remains at Large.” Of course, a little over 24 hours later, the so-called manhunt was over. Not that the woke newspaper would admit to the egg being splattered AGAIN over its front page. Holman goes on to outline the many ways the Dem- controlled Times & other MSM parrots tried for years to trash No. 45, then, No. 47, only to see their target not only dodge their verbal bullets but rise higher & higher in the polls.

Columnist’s conclusion: “There will be much flagellation & self-flagellation over the political moment that contributed to the Charlie Kirk murder. My own view: Everything would be different now in ways too contingent & variegated even to calculate if one thing had been different: If we’d had an honest & even slightly brave mainstream media during Trump era.
