‘Release Maduro!” When Hell Freezes Over

Letter to Philippians: Astonishing are progressives’ cries demanding the “release” of narcoterrorist Maduro. Yet what if Apostle Paul showed us how to understand such naivete that turns logic on its head when he reminded how the humble Christ Himself flip flopped the old world’s order?
In his famous letter to the first Christian church in Europe, Paul urged Jesus’ fledgling followers to think & act like Jesus no matter how crazy it might seem to them: “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness … and became obedient to death -- even death on a cross!”
One might retort, BUT … it’s one thing for Communist leaders & other brutal dictators around the world to demand one of their own’s freedom from righteous American justice, it’s another for so-called Democratic leaders to parrot the same obnoxious sentiments on trumped up talking points referencing a higher “international law” (i.e., higher than the US Constitution let alone the 10 Commandments) that enables terrorists like Maduro to thrive. Jesus, of course, would have retorted something along the lines of “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.” As for President Trump & the amazing team of freedom fighters who just relieved Maduro of his power over an abused world, Paul’s assuring words nearly 2,000 years ago about the true nature of the King of Kings also still ring true & should steel their resolve in now helping Venezuela recover: “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above very name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth; and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” and never to any mortal man or men.
