SCOTUS Serves DEMS Another Texas Burger

Letter to Ephesians: SCOTUS signaled (again) it thinks the country’s centuries old redistricting aka gerrymandering system has evolved into a joke & if the joke’s been on GOP in recent yrs the Justices are ok with the joke being on Dems in 2026.

That, I suggest, is the HUGE news reported by Fox that SCOTUS has reversed another lower court decision on election rigging & at least for now allows Texas to use its “Trump-pushed redrawn congressional redistricting map favoring Republicans.” Why this time? Apparently because a majority on the Highest Court trashed the lower court “for misreading evidence & ignoring required legal inferences as the state races toward 2026 election deadlines.” But, if one reads between the lines so to speak, it’s obvious most Justices are finally fed up with past & existing state redistricting maps that have been OBVIOUSLY & RIDICULOUSLY drawn to REDUCE & even EXCLUDE the voters of parties out of power. Take California. Please. Granted, as past Supreme Court decisions have repeatedly said, the Constitution essentially winks at if not allows such shenanigans as both parties have abused that discretionary power. But, now the resulting imbalance & blatant abandonment of any sense of fair play in setting election boundaries has entered the insane asylum land.

Exactly how a SCOTUS majority is going to land in the Texas redistricting case, or in California, or in New Jersey, or in Indiana, or in etc. etc. … is anyone’s guess still. But the signals the Justices keep sending clearly says, “if you guys can’t cut the crap, we’ll cut it for you, and you may not like the bag we put your BS in.”
