This week’s respectfully offered daily meditations:
Sunday: It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles ... or could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust & sweat & blood. Theodore Roosevelt
Monday: Ladies & gentlemen, I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.
Tuesday: Walk softly & carry a big stick .. [and] you will go far.
Wednesday: In a crisis, the man worth his salt is the man who meets the needs of the situation in whatever way is necessary.
Thursday: The greatest glory in living lies not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall.
Friday: Character ... is the decisive factor in the life of an individual & of nations alike.
Saturday: Remember, the greatest happiness is in the struggle.
