Supremes To Tell Trump “Stomp Away”?

Letter to Ephesians: Hold on to your hats as Supreme Court’s fall session starts with an “emergency docket” primed to hand Trump a slew of wins after the “Roberts Court” spent years killing progressives’ “living constitution” & resurrecting the Founding Fathers …

That arguably sums up two WSJ op eds in recent days and augers well for No. 47 & conservatives. As the editors noted, this is “a good moment to consider the constitutional revitalization the Roberts Courts has wrought” since the Chief Justice took the top spot 20 years ago. “Think of how the law has changed,” we’re urged. Indeed. Think how the once leaning left Court on nearly everything once held sacred to most of our grandparents is now leaning right again. On gun rights, First Amendment, Civil Rights and “the proper understanding of the separation of powers.”

But, of course, history is still in the making. And, if the WSJ is right: “President Donald Trump has an almost flawless record on the Supreme Court’s emergency docket this year, a streak that has delivered crucial moments of relief to the government as it fights hundreds of lawsuits challenging the president’s agenda.” Think 21 such rulings. Think Trump’s DOGE cuts, government firings, nationwide injunctions lifted, immigration policies tightened, “and more.” Of course, Trump will not WIN every time the High Court rules this term. But, if he wins at least 50% of the time, it will be a stunning victory for conservatives and a gnashing defeat for progressives.
