War, International Law & Terrorist States

Letter to Romans: Some say intern’l law limits USA’s defense against terrorist Iran that recognizes no limits on annihilating it. EG, NO. 47 has been told by UN & EU he must be sure his bombs “minimize” damage to civilian power plants used to build nukes & missiles. Huh?

And, oh, as the conventional wisdom goes, such “defensive” measures are legal only if it “contributes to a military operation,” never minding that EVERTHING the Islamic Republic of Iran does to its regional neighbors & civilian population since 1987 is to terrorize them, up to and including the “execution” of up to 42,000 Iranian protesters. Of course, the liberal MSM in the Western Civilization is reminding one and all of this Post-WWII international law, which Iran mocks. And the reminders have intensified as President Trump threatens with yet another ultimatum to stop mining Hormuz & shutting the world’s oil deliveries … in violation of international law … or suffer attacks on “every power plant & bridge.”

Tellingly, the WSJ asked Trump in an interview if he is “concerned the people of Iran, a country of 93M people, could suffer if civilian infrastructure is hit.” Answered Trump: “No, they [the Iranian people] want us to do it” to end the terrorist regime which has them “living in hell.” Having grown up in the wake of WWII I’m frankly having trouble figuring out how today’s debatable “international law” squares with the Western Allies’ carpeting bombing every industrial city in Germany until not a brick stood upon brick and the US nuking Hiroshima & Nagasaki. The only conclusion so far has been to conclude the UN & EU naively wants the West to fight terrorist states with both hands tied behind their back as they are not only constantly crotch kicked but assured their time on earth is ending asap.
