What Happens When Fanatics Have All the Guns

Letter to Romans: Iran & North Korea are two fanatical peas in a pod, one ruled by over-the-top Muslims & the other ruled by Marxist zealots. Both illustrate perfectly what can happen to the freedoms of average citizens when government has all the guns … and nukes.

The WSJ editors didn’t mince words in reminding the US how a lying North Korea snookered the world into thinking it would honor the non-proliferation dogma of the 80s. In its “North Kora Lesson for Iran,” they bluntly concluded, “diplomacy failed to stop Pyongyang from getting the bomb.” The editors added, “Trump didn’t make the same mistake” and has bombed Iran’s bomb-making facilities “back to the stone age.”

Or so No. 47 tells us. Yet, Iran has proven itself to be the granddaddy of liars & given new meaning to “The North Korean Lie.” While Presidents Obama & Biden tried diplomacy & bribery to bring Iran into an anti-nuke dialogue, the mullahs took the cash to literally finance a nuclear weapon program that was on the cusp of success … until they ran out of lies & bragged to Trump’s negotiators about how they had enough enriched uranium to bury the West with 10 or more A-bombs. But the bomb is one thing on the world stage. Fanatics like North Korea & Iran also have ALL THE GUNS in their own countries to keep their power domestically. That’s why as many as 42,000 of their citizens have been slaughtered in recent months for the sin of asking for a freer society. Lessons learned yet?
