When Devil Is Crowned King for a Day

“No King Day” is here and the left-leaning Democratic Party is once again facing the prospect of “Another weekend of demonstrations against Trump won’t get them anything” but the echo of their own shrill voices.

As WSJ columnist Kimberley Strassel recently opined, “Organizers brand it a ‘nationwide day of defiance’ featuring protests in more than 2,000 cities against President Trump’s ‘authoritarianism.’ A more honest tag line: Join our latest futile gesture, one even more likely than those past to benefit Mr. Trump.” That’s largely because a majority of Americans not only voted for No. 47 and his policies, but the planned protests today (Saturday) “builds on the protests-turned riots that engulfed LA this week and are already spreading to other US cities. In the name of rejecting Mr. Trump’s ‘inhuane’ deportation policies, the mobs are throwing bricks & frozen water bottles at cops, destroying immigration- owned businesses and blocking people trying to use freeways to get to hospitals or jobs.” In doing so, the demonstrations reject the sentiments as well as votes of over half the people in this country.

Yet, I’d offer another take on Ms. Strassel’s message of liberal futility. Some Americans can be fooled some of the time, but never all of the time. And they are on to the libreral hypocrisy that’s as plain as the nose on their faces. Most Americans know that the “No Kings” folks are the ones ramming thru legislatures “mandates” on EVs, open borders, sanctuary cities, defunding police, gun controls, gender science, vaccines du jour, crappy public schools, unlimited abortionis & devil worshipping.
