Woke Hollywood’s Ecstasy Turns Into Agony

Letter to Romans: God gave woke Hollywood all this power to influence & they’ve blown it. As customers flee & revenues plummet is the Almighty punishing these “self-absorbed” tone-deaf elites who thought it was their mission to rewrite the Bible to suit their liberal agenda?

Not that I’m the one to judge. Nor was cancelled conservative comedian Rod Schneider, even though he just wrote for Fox News an op ed that excoriated Hollywood & its celebrities with the “inconvenient truth” -- that they’ve so badly alienated the average American with their relentless progressive biases that “big studio” Hollywood as we know it may not be around beyond five years from now. Schneider didn’t say it, but I will: “If the iconic ‘Agony & Ecstasy’ were remade today, five minutes would be spent on Michelangelo painting the breathtaking Sistine Chapel & three hours on the artist’s ‘normalized’ perverted sex life."

But enough of me, me, me as the lib ‘n glib celebs like to do. Paul of Tarsus was arguably even tougher on them than Schneider when he wrote in ROMANS 1:24-32: “God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts … to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed & depravity. They are full of envy ... strife, deceit & malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant & boastful; they invent ways of doing evil … they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree … they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.” If it’s any consolation Hollywood isn’t planning a remake of “The Ten Commandments.” Or God help them if they are.
