Women Warriors Flocking to US Military

Letter to Ephesians: Female enlistment in the US military is surging & some think the “warrior ethos” under Trump is a key. Another is the counter-woke revolution taking place among our young. Was the huge number of 20- & 30-Somethings voting for No. 47 a coincidence or prophecy?

The Fox News op ed authored by two women Reps noted how, e.g., the U.S. Army “exceeds recruiting goals by 10% as Secretary of Defense Hegseth implements merit-based standards.” Translated, of course, that means merit rather than race, ethnicity or even gender will determine how far one can advance in a given military career. And, most women are ok with that. FAIRNESS aka getting a fair shake has always been a key in the women’s lib (as well as the anti-slavery) movement(s), starting perhaps with the basic right to vote. Fast forward. As the authors suggested: “For years we’ve watched with frustration as Democratic administrations pulled America’s military away from its core mission & dragged it into a culture war that it never asked for. As a veteran & current service member of the US Armed Forces, we have seen firsthand how the military was transformed into a progressive playground where identity politics took priority over readiness.”

The two representatives/warriors concluded that the new ethos was not just to their great relief, but to the 7,300 more women from all walks of life who have enlisted in the past half year compared to same period in 2024. They saw the election results and how the “tide is turning,” no small thanks to the “strong, unapologetic leadership” now in charge.
