Zinn Zinged America & Zaps Its History in Schools

Letter to Ephesians: Fox reports the left’s indoctrination of America’s kids is still full steam ahead in our blue cities via curriculum created in the 60s by a “Democratic socialist” who believed America was sexist & racist from the get-go.

The news story maintains “Public schools across the country are [still] directing teachers to use curriculum resources from a nonprofit that teaches American history through the lens of racial & sexual oppression.” The nonprofit is Zinn Education Project named for the late radical 1960s Professor Howard Zinn. According to Fox, “it pushes controversial resources & lesson plans to teachers for students as young as pre-K … up to grade 12.” Not than this progressive effort to revise how history is taught in America’s schools hasn’t been going on for some time now. ZEP itself says its curriculum has been adopted by more than 176,000 teachers for their students & co-sponsors a “Teach Truth Day of Action” every year along with the NEA, America’s largest teachers’ union & other orgs.

Zinn died in 2010 but was a prominent educator at Boston University from the early 60s & until he retired in 1988. He had authored “A People’s History of the United States,” which teachers the American Experience and Experiment ever since Christopher Columbus discovered the New World was influenced if not dominated by racial & sexual issues. His teachings are still more popular than ever in Democratic & Sanctuary Cities like Portland and Chicago. Said Zinn of himself: “I am … something of an anarchist, something of a socialist.” His conservative critics say Zinn was and is “something else.” Yet at least two generations of America’s students are already undeniably influenced by his teachings, who are likely to pass his beliefs on to succeeding generations.
