Blue City Cops Toddlin’ To Red States

Can you blame the “blue city officers flocking to cop-friendly red states in a unified mass “kiss my a**” goodbye? “Why would anyone stay” in a so-called Sanctuary City without R.E.S.P.E.C.T aka A.P.P.R.E.C.I.A.T.I.O.N?

The obvious reason in the Fox News coverage as to why law enforcement is abandoning tone-deaf Democrat-run cities for “greener” pastures “in a mass exodus” was supplied by the Federation of Police VP, Joe Gamaldi. The active Houston PD Lt said police in blue cities are simply tired if not exhausted from dealing with hostility from local politicians and so-called community leaders. “Because, ultimately, he explained, “people want to feel appreciated for what they do. And, when you have a boss – in this case, mayors or city councils, who regularly call you a piece of crap to the public – why would anyone stay?”

How big is this “Moses Moment Exodus”? Over 1,500 police officers, we’re told, relocated to Florida in the last three years alone. Texas is reportedly another big red state recipient. Gamaldi noted the trend started in earnest after the 2020 defund the police movement, while “in many cities, law enforcement officers [who stay on the job] are afraid to do their jobs in ‘critical incident’ situations” for fear of being made a scapegoat. Gamaldi particularly called out Sanctuary Cities like Seattle, Portland, Chicago & New York for no longer “supporting” their police officers. Question: When was the last time you heard someone say “I can’t wait to go on vaca to Chicago, That Toddlin’ Town?”
