Bucks-Celtics Shooting Is Why We Bangers Play?

The latest in a wave of shootings outside pro sports arenas escalated last Friday near the Bucks-Celtics game, causing panic, stampeding crowds & leaving 17 wounded. TEN were taken into custody.

As Fox reported, “nine firearms were recovered from the scene after dozens were seen fleeing.” According to witness Brittany Bergstrom who was at a nearby Milwaukee restaurant: “Everybody started running … There was a stampede, people running over the shrubs, hats shoes on the ground, drinks spilled everywhere.”

Dunno. Further details in the report are lacking, including whether any of those arrested were back on the street within hours of being arrested, i.e., as has been the trend in many a progressive big city. But, this quacks, waddles & flies like a drug-related, gang banger, turf war going on. And, if so, maybe the 2 or 3 sides were just trying to make an honest buck bringing their peculiar business closer to their customers in & around the sports venue. True, the business, you all know, maybe jus’ got a little outa hand. S*** happens. As the NBA’s own slogan says, “This is why we play” … and, yeah, it rhymes with “pay.”
