Chicago’s Dizzy Mayor 2 Bean Minors After Dark

It’s getting too easy to ridicule Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, this time, for banning unaccompanied minors from Millennial Park’s iconic “Bean” after dark cause of a fatal shooting there. Hello Constitution? Shootings elsewhere?

Let’s forget for a moment about Lighthead’s Martial Law-like decree from City Hall, but do recall the Mothers’ Day shootings around the city in which NBC reported EIGHT DEAD, 41 WOUNDED ACROSS CHICAGO DURING A PERIOD OF JUST OVER 48 HOURS. Never mind for a second, the city-wide deaths of Chicagoans by gun fire, is again threatening to break past horrific “records.” IT TOOK A SHOOTING IN MILLENNIAL PARK and “near the Bean” artwork (to Chicagoans, the PR equivalent of Pope John Paul II getting shot in St. Peter’s Square) to get Lighthead, er, foot say “this is utterly unacceptable.” So, the hundreds of other victims aren’t? Of course not.

Lightwhatever said her decree “will be strictly enforced and violations will be dealt with swifty.” And a gaggle of progressive MSM reporters wrote every word down. But, no such decree elsewhere in the ravaged city? Just near “The Bean” art structure? The braindead voters will likely applaud the mayor’s draconian move. But dunno if a judge getting the first case that’s prosecuted will know whether to laugh or cry. And wait, even if the cops arrest a young unaccompanied kid innocently sucking on a lollipop & sucking up the nearby art, will radical progressive aka see no evil, see no bail State’s Atty Kim Fox prosecute? And, under what statue exactly? Even the twisted ACLU warns "it will only increase [dangerous] confrontations" between banging punks, er, not so nice kids, and police already handcuffed by the mayor's implicit standing stand down orders.
