Even Ari Sees Soul-less Journalism Born Again

Ari Fleischer wrote a “new” book titled “Suppression, Deception, Snobbery & Bias” to argue why the liberal MSM gets the news wrong & is losing its audience. But let’s be blunt. Honest folks sense the increasingly soul-less profession, addicted to its power, won’t get better until it’s no longer in DENIAL.

As Fox News noted, “the American public’s trust in the press has been at or near historical lows, according to Gallup polling. Just 7% of US adults say they have a ‘great deal’ & 29% ‘a fair amount’ of trust & confidence in newspapers, television and radio reporting. Combined, that 36% level of confidence is just slightly above the 32% record low in 2016, amid the divisive presidential campaign between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.”

Still, journalism can yet be saved, Fleischer explained, but the devil is in the details to the needed born-again solution: “Journalism has original sin. And the original sin is who becomes a reporter in the first place. And, here, journalism [now] has a diversity problem. Their newsrooms don’t look like America. They don’t sound like America. They sound like half of America. They sound like college-educated, overwhelmingly Democratic voting people.” But let’s stay blunt, Ari. Honest folks sense too many of today’s journalists just sound like they need to get a life before they can report to others on it.
