It’s OK 4 Dad to Take Lil’ Deb in Any Restroom

Letter to Ephesians: A social media debate raged after an Oklahoma dad took his young daughter into a women’s restroom & was berated by a man who saw it, thereby traumatizing the youngster. When younger than 5, I chose the men’s room for my 2 girls…
The Law of Common Sense always taught me to relax when the “I need to go” issue arose because my girls, even when little, innately knew the difference between males & females and, in their case, they naturally went directly with me to the stall in the men’s room that had that lockable door for privacy. When pre-walking age, I would also avoid the lady’s facilities because I, in my adult wisdom, fathomed that a dirty diaper can be changed in the car or discreetly on a park bench without risking a dirty look from an unsympathetic battle axe. (Ok scream at me for saying/doing that.)
But for those socially sensitive progressives out there who are losing their hair & minds over the possible legal ramifications for doing so, I’d remind there’s no law that directly prohibits either practice; anyone complaining to a cop would be hard-pressed to claim “indecent exposure” or “child abuse.” In short, it’s a goofy complaint in all but extreme circumstances. In those rare cases, the cop would scratch his or her groin and ask him or herself whether Dad taking Little Debbie into the men or lady’s washroom (or even fixing a problem on a park bench) was “reasonable” under the circumstances … and “what would I, the beat cop, do if I found myself in the same life-threatening boat?”
