More College Kids Unemployed Than Ever?

Our woke ‘n broke educational’ system has come to this: It’s now tougher for college grads with a 4-year degree (costing the price needed for a starter home) to get a job than those who don’t. Chew on that one. Wonder why many are taking a pass on college?
The shocking news was embedded in a WSJ op ed titled “The End of the Free College Lunch,” which detailed hos “The GOP begins [via its proposed “reconciliation” bill] to rein in student loans and forgiveness plans” that have resulted in more than a $1.7 TRILLION dollar debt for Uncle Sam and its taxpayers. The above employment opportunity “factoid” might have left some feeling like they’d just been hit by an “asteroid”; especially those parents who shelled out an enormous amount of money to send their kid to college in the first place.
If you don’t believe the WSJ, believe last week’s report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which found the unemployment rate for recent associate degree (e.g., community college and vocational school) recipients in their 20s was 2.1% compared to 15.3 for four-year college grads and 8.4% for advanced degree recipients. Mull that one over. You have a higher chance of being unemployed these days if you go to college.”
