Musk To End World Hunger IF UN Doesn’t Eat His $ 1st

Tesla’s Elon Musk says he’ll give the UN enough money to end global hunger IF it can prove the donation will actually go to feed the hungry. Fat chance it will ever happen with a hopelessly corrupt UN in our midst?
Mr. Musk was responding to a repost of a CNN article that had quoted David Beasley, the director of the UN’s World Food Program, who demanded that America’s billionaires “step up now” to feed the world’s 42 million starving souls. Beasley, of course, was laying down the financial gauntlet to Musk & Amazon’s Jeff Bezos. “Six billion dollars to help 42 million people that are literally going to die if we don’t reach them. It’s not complicated,” he had said.
Nor is UN corruption all that complicated. Still, Musk took the bait & insisted the problem solving is not as simple as Beasley suggested. He wondered out loud why the $8.4 billion Beasley’s WFP raised last year “didn’t solve world hunger” then. The WFP’s website insisted it simply needed $5.3 billion more to get the job done. Simple, my wallet, Musk likely countered under his breath. What was it that Lincoln said about “sending more armies to McClellan [as constantly demanded during the Civil War] is like shoveling fleas across a barnyard … not half of them get there? Hence, Musk’s one catch?
