My View Is ABC’s The View Is Blind to Red

Letter to Ephesians: Did a watchdog need to show us why ABC’s “The View” is really a Democratic Party operation & shouldn’t be exempt from federal “equal time” rules? Speaking of which, wouldn’t any fake news org fake any “equal time” it gave the GOP?

I raise the Q after Fox News reported how “The Media Research Center is out to prove The View is a ‘political operation, not a bona fide news interview program’ as [ABC] battles the Federal Communications Commission over equal time for political candidates.” The FCC earlier this year launched an investigation after Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico, a populist with a number of controversial views, appeared on the show just before primary day. But the show’s overwhelmingly left content had long incensed conservatives who claimed it has for years operated as a political mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. It's almost daily criticism of the Trump Admiinistration fueled the criticism.

And still, ABC insists The View provides America with “balanced” news. True, The View has TWO "regular" co-hosts who claim to be Republicans. Yet, if I can still count right, the show has FOUR permanent co-hosts who are flaming liberals with the biggest fog horns this side of the San Francisco Harbor. Feeling the FCC heat, The View did recently air a segment with JD Vance. But he’s a rare Republican leader to have appeared on the show & the mostly liberal panel tried mightily to embarrass the VP, only to embarrass themselves. Yet, if we consider the ABCs of how the world of network television really works, I wouldn’t be surprised if the FCC ordered ABC to provide the requested “equal time” to counterbalance The View’s baked in bias & the ALT View aired at 3:21 am in the morning.
