RNC Gives CPD & DNC The Bird Over 2024 Debate

RNC voted to withdraw from Commission on Presidential Debates on bias grounds, but one has to think the Dems are also glad the circus will end in 2024, hopefully to be replaced by an ADULT format … like lose the ridiculous cheerleading audience?

The GOP emphasized it wasn’t giving up on presidential debates that were ironically created in 1987 with the nonpartisan blessing of both parties, just saying good-by to CPD’s evolutionary control over the process and its perceived biases and/or lack of common sense. Explained RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel in a statement: “Debates are an important part of the democratic process & the RNC is committed to free and fair debates…The Commission on Presidential Debates [has become] biased and has refused to enact simple and commonsense reforms to help ensure fair debates including hosting debates before voting begins and selecting moderators who have never worked for candidates on the debate state.”

No response yet from the CPD, which stands to lose its exclusive and lucrative gig. And, the DNC notably said it won’t comment on the RNC’s walk-away. But, the Dems got to think back how SIMPLE, STRAIGHTFORWARD & INFORMATIVE JKF’s pre-CPD debate with Nixon was …
