Sen Marco Rubio’s Fox op ed argued “NBC should stand for ‘National Beijing Corp” for it’s PRC-friendly Olympic coverage & if so it would replace its reigning title as “ND Broadcasting Corp” for exclusive coverage insisting a gridiron national title’s around the corner for the Irish.
Not that new coach Marcus Freeman isn’t going to bring Notre Dame football its first national championship since 1989 for all to see on the Peacock network. But, that, suggests Sen Rubio, does not excuse NBC from relentlessly sucking up to the Communist regime while Shaun White & American skiers keep wiping out. Wrote the Senator: “Over the past few days, the network, which rakes in exorbitant profits from its exclusive coverage of the 2022 Olympic Games, has dutifully recited Chinese Communist Party talking points at every turn. Rather than telling viewers the truth about Beijing’s oppression and ongoing genocide, NBC has opted for a “both sides” approach that makes the CCP out to be as trustworthy as our own government.”
Agreed, the PRC ring kissing is nauseating to those believing in democracy, kind of like the Notre Dame commercials during NBC coverage of the school’s altruistic mantra asking “What are YOU fighting for?” NBC?
