Have we 2 faces of groveling? JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon joked his capitalist firm would outlive PRC, but flagellated self when Commie clients took offense. Meanwhile Nike-owned LeBron James doesn’t have guts to say boo about Chinese tennis star’s disappearance after accusing PRC official of rape.

As the WSJ said, Mr. Dimon “apologized” for his joking during a Boston business summit & actually turned it into an advertisement for JP Morgan: “I was just in Hong Kong & I made a joke that the Communist Party is celebrating its hundredth year. SO IS JP MORGAN. I’d make you bet we last longer.” Ha ha. “I can’t say that in China.” No kidding. “They are listening anyway.” PRC President Xi Jinping undoubtedly laughed with Mr. Dimon all the way to the bank. Collecting himself, Dimon concluded: “I regret and should not have made that comment. I was trying to EMPHASIZE THE STRENGTH AND LONGEVITY OF OUR COMPANY.”
