Felon Didn’t Know Gun Loaded At Airport Security?

Can a felon get any dumber than the one who “accidentally” shot his gun while trying to sneak it through Atlanta’s international airport security, thereby setting off a panic among travelers? Come to think of it, how did the guy get away & was it with the poorly concealed gun? No one seemed to know.

According to Fox 5 in Atlanta & the AP, the “firearm went off after a passenger awaiting a bag search reached inside his bag for the weapon.” The man identified as a 42-yr-old Kenny Wells “ran off from the security checkpoint at Atlanta’s International Airport” and authorities assured an “active pursuit” of the man was soon underway. We’re also told the incident was “thought” to be an “accident” and not an “active shooter” situation.

Huh? So what? Regardless, there’s little doubt why this guy is a convicted criminal somehow thinking a loaded gun could get through an airport security checkpoint; he learned nothing while in prison. And, there’s little doubt the security at the “world’s busiest airport” was, ahem, lacking.
