Joe Left Buries Rittenhouse Jury In Day Liberalism Died

Gerard Baker’s WSJ piece, “Kyle Rittenhouse & Left’s Terrifying Assault on Due Process” might have been titled “The Day Liberalism Died” ... as progressive pols, pundits & poltroons insist on ignoring Americans’ basic Constitutional Rights in trashing a jury’s unanimous acquittal to advance their “critical whatever” agendas. Note, Joe still refuses to show regret for having rushed to judgment like a demagogue.

“They want revolutionary justice [to] supplant the legal system’s verdict by the people’s judgment” as THEY so judge, facts notwithstanding,” Mr. Baker argued. “The unhinged reaction from the left to Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal is easily dismissed as a glimpse into the rancid minds & rabid hearts of the ideological brigands of modern progressivism. But, it may offer clarity about the real threat posed by the Democratic Party & its fellow travelers to the values & institutions that have made America the most successful democratic republic in history.”

As Mr. Baker also noted, the left’s assault on Mr. Rittenhouse as well as his judge & jury is NOT just limited to the Constitutional right to Due Process, but includes the fundamental rights to Presumption of Innocence, Trial By Jury, Proof of Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt … and even Double Jeopardy as they call for a “federal” prosecution under a non-existent law they want to dream up in their heads. He reminded: The crime of politicizing our Justice system in this manner by “ranting radicals of the Squad or MSNBC, dimly repeated by the president … are not the bedrock legal protections against overweening authority the Ango-Saxon jurisprudence AND the Democratic Party had ONCE deemed to be essential to a functioning democracy.” So sad in Joe Biden’s world, then, JFK’s own liberalism would appear to be buried with him in Arlington.
