Jussie Smollett Goes To Trial Not Washington Ala Mudd

For some reason Jussie Smollett looked stunned when a judge denied his last-ditch effort to dismiss criminal charges based on what appears to be overwhelming evidence he lied to police when reporting he was kidnapped by anti-gay racists … in the heart of overwhelmingly Democratic Chicago.

You’ll recall, as did Fox, how Mr. Smollett, “a gay black man, told police in 2019 that two masked men strung him up ala Mississippi Burning lynching style when he was in Chicago working on the “Empire” soap and taunted him with “this is Trump country.” As Fox noted: “He was charged weeks later with filing a false police report after investigators concluded that he staged the attack & paid 2 brothers to carry it out because he was unhappy about his salary & wanted to promote his career.” The case was dropped by a progressive Soros prosecutor, but revived when a special prosecutor known for his honesty charged Smollett with “disorderly conduct.” He’s pleaded not guilty & has tirelessly insisted he was framed by somebody. No, not by himself. Da.

The bottom line is that Smollett’s lawyer afterward said his client was simply trying to throw out the “meritless” charges and wants “nothing more than to go to trial & clear his name.” And, Mr. Smollett very well may be innocent. But, someone needs to tell him that even that fortuitous if belated outcome was little solace to Dr. Mudd after being vindicated in the wake of the Lincoln assassination.
