Rational Britney Deserves Entire Loaf Of Freedom

It would seem the Britney Spears conservatorship drama has played out long enough & perhaps unnecessarily so. Mind you, a human being shouldn’t be declared incompetent merely for being foolish or even foolhardy … otherwise, half the risk takers on Wall Street would have been given conservators long ago. If, for instance, the legal standard for a financially incompetent person has mostly to do with being “rational,” then, you’d think the presiding judge in LA would have been able to sort this out long ago.

But, here we still have “half a loaf” as allegedly “abusive, domineering” father Jamie’s power over his daughter’s personal, medical & financial estate was “suspended” this week, albeit with an eye toward terminating it entirely sooner rather than later. Fox News says Britney for some reason “broke into tears,” presumably of joy, but you could not have forgiving her for screaming bloody murder at the legal processing deciding her “best interests” that’s been going on for 13 years.

Consider that Britney is now 39. Consider that her estate is estimated at $60M and probably growing. Consider the Grammy winner is engaged to be married. Forget that the New York Times reported dad may have been bugging her bedroom. Her mental meltdown as reported happened way back when. In June, Britney appeared in court and may have rambled and bumbled a bit … but she did walk in and out of the courtroom without her dad’s assistance. Enough. Free all of Britney’s buns.
