Smollett To Testify At Racial Hoax Trial Or Not Is The Q

Lawyers saying actor Jussie Smollett should testify at his racial hoax trial in Chicago may cite the Rittenhouse acquittal but risk perjury ... if he sticks to storied “self-defense” involving a lynching staged by 2 blacks posing as whites in bluest “Trump Country” on earth.

As Fox News related, “Americans nationwide will be watching intently” to see if Smollett has the temerity to take the witness stand in his upcoming trial, a “move defense attorneys & prosecutors” say “could make or break the case.” Really? For instance, Mark Eiglarsh, a seasoned criminal defense attorney, says “this is one of those rare cases where [Smollett] may have to take the witness stand” because he’s black & gay & he’s a “good” actor. Dunno. If Jussie was such a good actor, he wouldn’t have been charged for the hard-to-believe story he’s presented to police; if true, you’d think he would have situated his “ordeal” in an abandoned warehouse instead of downtown, a few blocks from Dem-owned City Hall in full view. Meanwhile, a pretty good Chicago defense lawyer, Stephen Komie, who knows his city & how bizarre the alleged lynching there comes off no matter how well delivered by an actor, including Lawrence Olivier, advises Smollett to shut up already. “He is his own most dangerous enemy if he gets on the witness stand,” Komie said. “That’s what could trigger a ride to the penitentiary. Judges do not like perjury.”

Mr. Komie should know how this Biden-like doubling down when caught with your pants down would likely play out for Smollett let alone the tanking Joe. Especially after Chicago’s progressive powers that BE (including The Obamas who originally backed him) have already been humiliated world-wide as more facts surfaced & would undoubtedly be dragged into this mess again on cross examination. Recall how anyone here with a brain knew that had Smollett convincingly acted out an apology ala Olivier early on, especially after new evidence suggested he had paid off two brothers to “lynch” him in a PR stunt to force his “Empire” employers to up his sitcom salary, he would have gotten off with a slap on the wrist fine & would be back at work with the bigger naïve fan based & pay check he wanted. But, nooooooo.
