“Soul Food” is a regularly updated calendar of meditations sometimes questioning conventional wisdom & often suggesting eternal value

Sunday: God Bless You Jesus!

Monday: I love adversity … because it just brings a whole different person out of me. Russell Wilson

Tuesday: It’s important to remember it’s the kind, gentle, thoughtful person who can be most inspiring.

Wednesday: Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food & the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns & yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one by worrying add a single hour to [their] life? Jesus of Nazareth

Thursday: People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group No. 1 sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group No. 2 sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. M. Night Shyamalan

Friday: In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual. Galileo

Saturday: I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. Da Vinci
