El-Sayed’s “Beautiful Noise” in His Own Mind

Letter to Romans: Rogan famously if indelicately says Dems “full of sh**” if they won’t specify which “Woke 1.0” stances went too far. But how many crocks of sh** do Dems fill if they don’t renounce how well wanna-be Michigan Senator El-Sayed wears brown?

Let us count the ways. For one, the senatorial candidate wants voters to forget he’s best buds with Hasan Piker, the anti-American piker who says America deserved 9/11. He also has repeatedly demanded everyone pretend he’s not a “socialist,” even though most of his public policy statements to date mirror the Democratic Socialist Party’s ludicrous platform that mirrors the Soviet Union’s. El-Sayed is especially spending much time recently trying to brush off his past anti-Semitic digs, i.e., after Michigan Jews began vowing to vote for the GOP’s candidate, “Any Name but El-Sayed.” But what really caught my attention & triggered this “specific” Commentary was El-Sayed’s “full of sh**” hypocrisy in his many subtle digs at American “culture”. The Fox News headline passed the smell test beautifully. It read, “El-Sayed praised beautiful’ sense of community abroad while trashing US as ‘White supremacy.’” WTH, I thought, while conjuring up notions of over 50K souls being slaughtered in Iran’s streets by the Islamic Republic’s blood-thirsty “protectors”?

To be fair, El-Sayed most lately has been waxing nostalgically of how great his childhood had been in Egypt. Yet, Egypt? The desert(ed) Land of the Pharaohs? Apparently, in a late-October 2025 podcast, after getting asked what Americans could gain from life “back home,” El Sayed simply said: “Community.” In Egypt & other societies with far more constant human interaction,” he explained, “you’re constantly enveloped in other people’s humanity … It’ like a beautiful thing. And I wish we had more of that.” Wait. Like in Iran? Syria? Afghanistan? Iraq? Lebanon? Gaza? He didn't specify. But El-Sayed di specify in a 2019 U of Michigan commencement address, Detroit’s people had been “directly and purposely marginalized by every level of government” thanks to a “baked in racism.” Worse, he thought American politics had “reverted to a strain of White supremacy & racism [he] never thought we’d go back to.” Ala Rogan & Neil Diamond’s iconic song now dancing in my brain, I thought: “What A Beautiful Sh** Show.”
