Mid-Terms to Turn on Turnout, Facts Be Damned?

Letter to Ephesians: Are 2026 mid-terms about “issues” or humanity’s resilient stupidity in ignoring either history or facts in plain view? For example, polls say many voters buy into Dems’ campaign “affordability” cry, tho just 2 yrs ago THEY triggered record inflation …

Consider the skyrocketing costs of healthcare, energy & welfare during the Biden administration thanks to Obamacare, its so-called Inflation Reduction Act and open bo(a)rders political power play, among other failed progressive policies. Let’s not even mention the record violent crime rates across America, while Sanctuary Cities insisted upon defunding their police forces, introducing no bail rules in the justice system, and refusing to cooperate with ICE to remove illegals, even with violent crime records, from our too generous shores. Nor will we mention the massive Medicaid fraud scams in Minnesota & elsewhere draining billions in taxpayers’ monies. Then again, Trump was the first POTUS to bravely meet the Islamic Republic of Iran’s mania to create a nuclear bomb, yet he is now crisscrossing the US to convince many of his most die-hard supporters before election day that the steep rise in gas prices was “a small price to pay” for protecting the homeland if not world peace.

You get the picture. So does Trump. He’s now urging MAGA country to “Pretend I’m on the Ballot.” As the WSJ’s Jason Riley opined, No. 47 doesn’t seem to grasp that HE is precisely the driving force behind a motivated Democratic Party’s expected “Blue Wave” turnout. Noted Riley, “Americans are worried about affordability, so the president pushes … a renovated golf course?” Good point. But, as Trump would undoubtedly respond, the Democrats have been hysterically opposed to him with TDS & were going to turn out against him on election day, even if he committed suicide before that day dawned. No, Trump seems to know this election will turn on TURNOUT, history & the plain facts be damned.
