Wanted: Judges w/Cajónes To Kick Marx’s Butt

Letter to Romans: Are some court “protesters” now advocating anarchy? Demand courtroom entry at a new murder trial for Karmelo Anthony. Threaten to influence Luigi Mangione witnesses & jurors in his assassination trial. Is there a judge with the cajónes to end the BS?

The answer to Q No. 1 arguably is yes. And the reason is at least partly traceable to the court system’s own decades long over-indulgent handling of increasingly emboldened radicals bent on eliminating it. In the bigger picture, such disrespect for the Rule of Law & Constitution itself is surely enabled by various politicians & activists who “promise” to stack the US Supreme Court, rewrite the Constitution, defund all police & abolish prisons. But, in a more micro-sense, the courtroom intimidation tactics of critics, activists & old-fashioned Marxist anarchists in the ongoing Anthony & Mangione courtroom dramas also tells us how low civility & respect for the jury system has gotten in some quarters. It also forecasts where they may be headed, unless the courts themselves wake up, see these tactics for what they are & counter them.

In the Mangione case, Fox News reported the presiding judge did proactively assure jurors they’d remain anonymous. That relatively rare judicial defensive move was made after prosecutors warned of witnesses possibly being harassed, even “intimidated, by the defendant’s supporters during the upcoming murder trial over his alleged assassination of United-Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. “The People have documented threats, harassment & exposure of personal information directed at individuals … including witnesses,” wrote Judge Gregory Carro in his protective order. “They further cite instances [of] individuals identifying themselves as supporters of the defendant engaged in inflammatory & hostile public statements outside the courthouse & announced their intention to attend jury selection to attempt to speak to prospective jurors.” As for the “100 or so” Karmelo Anthony protesters still demonstrating outside that courtroom, it can only be described as an ongoing staged circus. Despite much incriminating evidence & a diverse jury’s guilty verdict, the Anthony troops are still demanding “a black jury” to mirror his skin color in a new trial that THEY will be allowed to attend. Hopefully, the assigned “special judge” will resist as a matter of common sense as well as law.
