Will Aging Trump Ever Be A “Worthy Man”?

Letter to Philippians: Imprisoned St. Paul urged us to always conduct ourselves in a manner “worthy of Christ.” Fresh debate over workaholic No. 47’s health as “signs of aging emerge” is met with “defiance,” tho what more can he do to prove he’s also a “worthy man”?

Self-doubt seems to be a universal issue for us humans & even no matter how many accomplishments one’s achieved. And two-time President Trump is no exception, even though there is arguably few currently on earth who’ve notched more “wins.” He is obviously running himself ragged 24/7/365, as if there’s no time to spare. A recent WSJ story suggests the mortal Trump’s superhuman if daily routine is so taxing that “those close to him” are noticing it affecting his health, hot denials & supportive medical tests notwithstanding. Isn’t the real question not whether Mr. Trump’s healthy enough to “carry out his responsibilities as Commander in Chief,” but WHY can’t he seem to relax for a second, i.e., “except for the occasional golf outing”?

Paul, we might consider, gave a clue to our President’s quest for the perfectly “worthy man.” The Apostle himself never relented being the faithful follower of Jesus through countless beatings & no matter how many times put in chains. Unto death even. Is it such a stretch, then, to think the very imperfect Trump, whether he realizes it fully or not, is perfectly driven to also “always conducting himself in a manner worthy” of any man let alone “the gospel of Christ”?
