Bummed CCP Kids: “It’s the System, Stupid”
Letter to Philippians: Polls say US college kids love socialism & scoff at capitalism. They ignored Cuba & hail China. Never mind students in that No. 1 Communist bastion face unemployment & low pay their American counterparts don’t. Isn’t it the system, stupid?
It seems this election year that nothing will burst the socialist naiveté bubble, especially in the elitist universities & college towns. Yet, the umpteenth eye-opener belying the socialists’ propaganda machine was suggested again in the WSJ’s “China’s Weakening Economy is Creating a Lost Generation.” According to the piece, “Young people [in China] were taught hard work guaranteed a bright future. They feel burned out & betrayed as good jobs become harder to get & the milestones of adulthood slip away.” The Artificial Intelligence boom is supposedly getting much of the blame as “job losses pile up.” We’re told the “urban jobless rate among 16- to 24-year-olds, excluding students stands at roughly 19% … compared with about 9% among the same age group in the US. It’s 7.5% for those aged 25 to 29, compared with 5.3% in the US, and above China’s overall unemployment rate of around 5%. Wage growth has stagnated.”
Guess something or somebody always has to take the fall. Yet, what’s not called out by the WSJ is that, in China, it’s the Chinese Communist Party rather than the US marketplace that determines the winners & losers in the job market. While today’s American university professors keep teaching their naïve students the ills of the very capitalism that made their own cushy, guaranteed, hi-paying jobs possible, the manipulative controlling Marxists have historically as well as currently proven far worse. As an honest James Carville might have said during the 1992 US presidential campaign (or even today), “It’s the System, Stupid!”
